PRP-Platelet rich plasma therapy

Platelets, In case of any injury, our body’s first response is to deliver platelets at the site of injury. This is because platelets are packed with growth and healing factors that initiate healing and repair. Platelet-rich plasma therapy is an all-natural autologous medical procedure performed on the scalp, skin, and wound to facilitate healing.

How is plasma enriched with platelets?

The procedure involves the withdrawal of a small amount of a person’s own blood. The blood is placed in a centrifuge to separate the platelets from the other components of the blood and a few stimulants are used to make platelets more active. The process produces higher concentrations of platelets. This highly concentrated platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is then injected into the scalp, face, or wound area using a special micro needle to intensify repair and healing.
